Position reports directly to the Pricing Manager.
Discussed price points, margins, gross dollar goals with Category Managers.
Responsible for 5,500 items.
Maintain 28 competitive zones.
Ensure that margin and gross dollar goals are met.
Ensure that erroneous UPCs (Universal Product Codes) were corrected in a timely manner.
Acted as a liaison between retailers, Category Managers and Buyers.
Handled the AS400 computer system, which is oriented to DSD (Direct Store Deliveries).
Perform overnight trips to a retailer in Florida to help set up and answer any questions on the Droste retail system.
Worked with multiple spreadsheets in Excel to run what if scenarios.

Accomplishments:
Improved the consistency of margins within the dry grocery categories of my realm of responsibilities.
Improved the functionality of all Direct Store Delivery forms, main objective was to improve the image of SuperValu.
Created three manuals for the department: Direct Store Delivery Procedures, Order Guide Setup Procedures and Retail Pricing within the SuperValu computer system.

Responsibilities:
Report directly to Dry Grocery Category Manager, in addition to reporting to the Director of Pricing.
Heavily involved in proofing weekly ads, to ensure proper item placement, ad retail and descriptions were correct.  
Worked with the buyer of the Category to ensure enough products were being brought in for the ads.
Worked heavily with vendors to buy down the average warehouse cost of advertised items.
Provided pricing for 23 competitive zones.
Produced category gross dollar shipment and margin reports.
Set up new items and charged proper slotting fees.
Assisted private label personnel, to ensure adequate private label penetration.
Acted as a liaison between store personnel, vendors and Category Managers.
Worked in groups of threes (called pods) as a team player witch included the Category Manager and Buyer.  Made multiple store visits, this
was to ensure tags and item placements were correct and to speak with store personnel about any concerns they may have.
Accomplishments:
Increased category gross margins from 28% to 30% through zone retail, while maintaining no movement decline.
Improve retail and margin consistency.
Improved vitality of Bruno's ads, within the realm of my category responsibility.
Increase the category desk account (internal house account) to an unprecedented level.  This was accomplished by timely and accurate billing.

Responsibilities:
Reported directly to the Chief Operating Officer.
Maintained the building and all fixtures that were located within the premises.
Handled all of the purchasing and contract negotiations, which included: cell phones, pagers, janitorial services, landlord issues, phone system, alarm systems, general supplies, copiers and delivery and pickup services.
Performed accounts payable duties, this was to ensure that monthly bills were being paid according to their individual contracts.
Accomplishments:
Recovered insurance claim, due to carrier's error.
Achieved a 25% savings over a previous year's accounts payable, this was accomplished through successful contract negotiation.
